Based on the pain points and needs of high torque and high speed, we have carried out technical research and development and design improvements on the 28mm integrated motor, and upgraded it to the PMM28 servo series based on the STM28 series stepper products. 03.CANopen/RS485 bus communication

05.Configurable DI and DO

In terms of DI, the PMM28 series provides 3 input ports that support pulse input. Users can directly connect external pulse generators through the ports to achieve precise position or speed control.
At the same time, these DI ports are also highly programmable, allowing users to configure them into different functional modes according to actual needs, including but not limited to enable control (used to start or stop motor operation), positive and negative switches (control the forward and reverse rotation of the motor), origin switches (used to set or confirm the origin of the mechanical position), alarm reset (clear the error state during motor operation), pause function (temporarily interrupt motor operation) and multi-segment operation instructions (preset multiple motion trajectories to achieve complex motion control).
In terms of DO, the PMM28 series is equipped with 2 output ports, which also support flexible configuration options. Users can configure these DO ports as ordinary digital output ports according to system requirements to transmit status signals or control other devices.
In addition, DO ports are often configured as motor running/stop status indication, target position arrival signal output and alarm output. The latter can issue an alarm in time when the motor is running abnormally to ensure production safety.

06. Host computer debugging software, easy operation
PMM28 series integrated servo motors support NiMStudio host computer software debugging. This debugging software has an intuitive and friendly interface and powerful functions, making the debugging and operation process of integrated servo motors easier and faster.
Through the software, users can easily perform communication tests, support CANopen and RS485 communications; support parameter reading and writing, and can set various parameters of the motor, including motion speed, position, etc. Support control mode operation, including CiA402 and NiMotion modes to meet the needs of different operating scenarios; support cloud upgrades, including studio software upgrades, configuration file upgrades, historical version downloads, firmware upgrades, device description file downloads, and restore factory parameter file downloads.
