How to confirm if the DO port function of the PSM60 series servo motor is normal?
I. Functions and Precautions
(1) Function Description: This document introduces how to determine the functionality of the DO port of our PSM60 series motor.
(2) Precautions: Because this motor supports optocoupler output, the testing method needs to be carefully considered; directly measuring continuity will not be effective.
II. Operating Steps
(1) Open NiMStudio and connect our servo motor. Note that the example motor uses Modbus communication; the operation method is the same for other motors. Additionally, because this test uses a multi-turn motor without a battery box, a 0x7301 alarm is normal and will not affect the test results.

(2) Select motor 1, enter the parameter management interface, select Dec, and display the device value in decimal. Then check the communication sub-protocol area, manufacturer-defined sub-protocol area, and standard device sub-protocol area. Finally, check automatic refresh.

(3) Enter "do" in the search box above, configure H2004-01 as 1 (configure DX1 as output), and configure H2004-02 as 1 (active high).

(4) When index H2031-02 is 0, i.e., when Do1 outputs a low level, you can see that the H200B-06 output signal (DO signal) monitoring is 2. Converting to binary, the rightmost position is 0, proving that the motor has output a low level to DO1.

(5) Open the motor manual, set the multimeter to diode measurement mode, and measure pins 1 and 2 of the motor's I/O port.

(6) Measure pin 1 with the red multimeter and pin 2 with the black multimeter. The multimeter output will appear as shown in Figure 2.6.

(7) Set the H2031-02 communication DO output status to 1. The H200B-06 output signal (DO signal) monitoring value will change to 3. Converting this to binary, the rightmost position will change to 1, indicating that DO1 is outputting a high level.

(8) The multimeter output will appear as shown in Figure 2.8. This indicates that the motor's DO port is functioning normally.
